Our facility houses an X5000 high resolution micro-CT system with a twin head 225 kV x-ray source and a Dexela area detector (3073 x 3889 pixels). Funding of this facility was provided in part by the University of Minnesota's Infrastructure Investment Initiative. We welcome applications from academic research within and beyond the University of Minnesota as well as from industry and government agencies. This nondestructive technique is useful in many fields including Geology, Paleontology, Anthropology, Medical Devices, Engineering, Veterinary Science, Electronics, and Composite Materials.
