In March 2012, a new X-Ray Computed Tomography scanner was installed in Pillsbury Hall. This machine will aid research across disciplines. Funding for this equipment was provided by the University's Infrastructure Investment Initiative. The X5000 is a high-resolution dual head 225 kV microfocus X-ray system that provides sub-micron detail recognition.
